Pink Landscape | Richard Mosse

A complement to a previous photo series devoted to soldiers titled ‘En utilisant le film à but militaire’ came those set of photos. A dramatic work of Richard Mosse. he used a military technique invented by Kodak in the 40s mainly for detecting hidden enemies; this photographing technique uses infrared to meet in pink tones in photographs – hence this photo series ‘Pink Landscape’ is born.

Creating photos of ‘pink’ landscape, Richard Mosse successfully managed to capture post-war effects of both the environment and the human. A shouting contrast between the soft emerging colors in the photos and the hard conflict of what it’s used for, is visible in all captures.
