I think it is weird how Massimiliano Adami creates his pieces. Very weird I tell you. But good weird. Weird is just a word we use to describe something really stunning that we never knew existed. Here, weird is good and wholeheartedly accepted because the results are stunning pieces. Massimiliano Adami creates his pieces without the use of molds. Rather, he dips thin metal wires (which already have been shaped to the form of the furniture to be created) into thermoplastic powder, granules or liquid. Then, a sufficient amount of electric current is sent through the metal filament. These path and process has been subjected to enough quality control tests to make sure that everything – electric current, powder aggregates, wire sizes – are of the appropriate and accurate sizes. The resulting heat allows the polymer medium to stick around the metal frame. The end product: beautiful lamps, chairs, tables, etc.
