Google Mountain View Campus in California Unveiled in New Renderings:
New renderings for the planned Google headquarters in Mountain view, California, has been released. The 18.6-acre Charleston East google mountain view campus will hold on its grounds a two-storey building, with a total area of 595,000 sq ft, whose design will be the product of collaboration between Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and Heatherwick Studio. The Googleplex building, mainly, features a massive tent-like canopy on its top, which will be studded with photovoltaic cells. The canopy will also play a major role in regulating the indoor climate, air quality, and sound.

The ground floor of the google mountain view building will include a series of pavilions positioned around the “Green Loop”, a linear canvas of trees that goes right through the building and links it to the Charleston Basin via Charleston Park. The outdoor spaces, revealed in the renderings, does not only target Google employees but also the public. In the google mountain view, there will be shops and cafes lining the main street to animate the area. There are also, pedestrian walkways, paths for bikes, and an open plaza for social gathering and activities. That is in addition to all the green spaces which will be filled with a variety of native, drought-tolerant plants.
