This year’s Lantern Wonderland Festival saw one of the most remarkable formerly drinkable masterpieces: the Rising Moon dome.

The award winning pavilion, designed by the Hong Kong-based firm Daydreamers Design, is composed of recycled water bottles fixed with LED lights resembling individual Chinese paper lanterns.

The 4,800 five-gallon water bottles sprinkled under hues of green, blues and reds echoing the vibrant city of Hong Kong. Different lighting effects were used to imitate the different lunar phases

.Reflected on the water on which it floats, the dome is created into a glowing sphere.

Moreover, inside the dome hanged 2,300 additional bottles resembling an eco-friendly chandelier. A pathway cuts through the structure enabling guests to get a closer look into the Rising Moon.
