Surreal Fantasy Architecture
SURREAL FANTASY ARCHITECTURE … Spanish Architect and Photographer, Dionisio González has come up with a new series of designs called ‘Trans-action’. His last two series, Dauphin Islands (2011) and Inter-actions (2014) have shown his ability to propose architecture as an antidote to the world’s problems.
Dionisio seeks to put forward the chaos caused by man and nature through his designs while trying to make people socially aware of these problems. His latest series ‘trans-actions’ focus on the long forgotten landscapes where he has designed contemporary habitable spaces.
Most of his buildings are stilted and cantilevered structures. In order to achieve equilibrium in the building façade, he has taken into consideration the surrounding landscape thus amalgamating it with his design on multiple levels. This creates a very balanced architectural vision which is pleasing in appearance.
According to González, ‘the particularity of these buildings is that they do not presume, or do not relate to, an immediate orbit with cities, therefore, one does not know exactly who the guilty parties are, except for environmental agents and social mobility, both of which promote a culture of urgency.’
Although most of his designs’SURREAL FANTASY ARCHITECTURE’ have never transformed into real buildings, they still succeed in touching the nerve of onlookers and inspires them into taking action to curb the chaos caused by man.
