Aedas has unveiled the plans for Chongqing Xinhua Bookstore Group Jiefangbei Book City Mixed-use Project. The project is a dynamic complex that encompasses a sky cultural plaza, retails, apartments, offices and a boutique hotel in the Jiefangbei Central Business District, the heart of downtown Chongqing.  The central building in the project appears to unfold through stepped terraces, âimplying the spirit of wisdom and knowledge.â These stepped terraces furthermore reflect the landscape of Chongqing, which is called the âMountain City.â  Aedas draws design inspiration from an ancient Chinese prose âKnowledge brings wealthâ to integrate book with the cultural elements of Chongqing, creating an interactive commercial complex with Xinhua Bookstore sitting at the core of the podium.
Since 2005, Aedas designed many major Chongqingâs mixed-commercial developments, including Starlight Place in Nanping district which was completed in 2012, and Sincere Financial Center in Jiafangbei completed in 2015. Aedas’ world-class solutions in response to the local social and cultural needs have brought to them huge successes in establishing Chongqingâs landmarks as well as a large portfolio of forthcoming projects.

Expected completion of the complex is set for 2020.
