Australian 2015 National Architecture Awards announced

National Architecture

2015 National Architecture Awards, from the Australian Institute of Architects, were announced on November 5th, at a ceremony in Brisbane. From the 73 shortlisted projects, 42 were awarded, in 14 categories. Earlier in 2015, 185 eligible projects were selected to be considered for the awards, from a total of 873 projects entries, at the Chapter Architecture Awards. This year was the 34th edition of the National Architecture Awards of Australia. The contest accepts entries from all over the world, and has been established as one of the biggest architecture award worldwide. Special awards were given in each category,

The jury was presided by David Karotkin, managing director of Sandover Pinder. The other members of the jury were Steve Grieve, director at Grieve Gillett Dimitty Andersen Architects, Shelley Indyk, design director at Indyk Architects, Philip Goad, Chair of Architecture at University of Melbourne and Peta Heffernan, director at Liminal Studio. Every category has one or more awards or commendations, and some have special awards, offered from the part of renowned architects.
