Carbon fiber chair | IL HOON ROH

IL HOON ROH design studio has created a special edition arm chair that is made from carbon fiber that is woven together by hand. The name of the design is Lunco, which is the Latin root for curve. When it is assembled by hand they also extrude the fiberglass using the Rami series.

This extrusion is experimented before weaving by suspending stings at different positions and then allowing the gravity to shape the final product. This shape of the extrusion is a smooth natural curve.

For support the curves are in a hexagonal shape on the surface then woven at the surface to a metal base. Every carbon fiber piece was allowed to find its most favorable position, resulting in a strong and competent final result. The dimensions are W = 68cm by L = 108cm and the H = 105cm
