‘…In recent years I’ve been thinking of a new material, partly because it has become an important issue for me in my work developing new products. I have also had a desire to find new methods and ways that would help me develop my skills as a designer in both form and expression.
My thesis has been a material exploratory project to find visionary and viable product concepts. The investigations consist of visits at companies and organisations and various tests in order to find other patterns and approaches through the process. The result presents the entire process from research to the finished product.
The product is called Cirrata and is a series of lamps that challenges all preconcep¬tions about what is possible to achieve with the material Corian…’ by Markus Johansson
