Construction of ODA’s pixelated residential tower on 57th Street East begins

A tower with fractals from the billionaire series

An ODA-designed residential tower in New York City’s Billionaire’s Row has started construction. The 175 condos will be housed in the 175,000-square-foot skyscraper at 126 East 57th Street. Private outdoor terraces will be present in almost all of the homes, giving the cast-in-place concrete façade a pixelated appearance with projections and recesses.

Residents will enter the building through the main entrance, which will be on 57th Street, through a copper and mirror gateway into a six-story atrium with views of a planted courtyard. The route to the lobby continues through a gallery. There will be an additional entry with a porte cochere along 56th Street for parking.

Oda’s numerous rooms and common areas

Eran Chen, the founder and executive director of ODA, remarked on the design, saying that it “brings a human scale, fun, and aesthetic intrigue to this expensive stretch of 57th Street.” We work to provide a modern perspective for tastemakers and young professional purchasers who respect quality design as New York City gradually transforms Midtown East into a residential attraction.

Residing in the opulent apartment building

The two sublevels would initially have amenities like an exercise room, sports court, indoor swimming pool, sauna, and steam rooms, according to the architects. A private lounge and kitchen with access to a furnished courtyard will be on the second floor. A playground for kids, a community greenhouse, and an outdoor amphitheatre will all be located in the courtyard.

A 3,350 square-foot party room on the eleventh level will have access to a sizable, covered terrace designed to host social functions. A prep kitchen, bar, and private cabanas are included in this area. The 28th floor penthouse apartments will have access to own roof decks. There will also be a rooftop terrace with shared amenities. The interiors of the structure were created by Gabellini Sheppard, and MRR 1326 LLC, the owner, is now developing it.
