Exhibition of Hats | Nendo and Hirata Akio

Japanese design studio Nendo contributed to an exhibition for the internationally-known Hirata Akio’s seventy years of work. Nendo used approximately 4,000 mass-produced hats to fill the exhibition space. The hats flow through space while providing a striking contrast to Hirata’s unique and carefully made hats. In this ambiance, the visitors are invited to experience the freedom that emphasizes Hirata’s work.
