FEDDZ Electric Cargo Scooter | Emo-Bike
The whole world is getting aware of the depleting natural resources on earth and as a result, resulting in a profound impact on all the latest technological developments. Whether it be sustainable or low-energy, everyone is trying to find alternative ways to minimize the crisis. One such attempt has been made by a German Automobile company named Emo-Bike. They have developed an electric bike named FEDDZ that might be successful in being environment friendly without excessively restricting the needs of the consumer. For a long time, companies were trying to come up with a bike that is not too bulky or limited in functioning but was unsuccessful. Through this attempt, Emo-Bike has tried to eliminate those backdrops while advancing the technology even further.
According to the company,
“We are committed to it: recycling and considering our impact on the environment. We believe that all technical materials should be returned to allow for their recycling or reuse. Therefore, as an example, the plastic parts used on the FEDDZ have been designed such that they can be disassembled and easily recycled.” Emo-Bike has used an electric hub motor in place of a gas tank in FEDDZ thus providing ample storage space of about 23 liters for cargo which could be used to store a motorcycle helmet and gym bag or a football and water bottle to make it more user friendly. Eliminating a gas tank has also significantly reduced the overall weight to just 33 kg thus providing easy portability options similar to a bicycle. Apart from that, the use of plastic parts in its construction ensures that it is 100 percent recyclable and reusable. Â It can reach a speed of up to 45km/hr in normal conditions and has a 48-volt lithium-ion battery that supports a ride of up to 110km. Other additional features like a USB port and adjustable seat and handlebar that can accommodate drivers of different sizes are a definite plus. Overall it is a very nice attempt towards achieving a sustainable automobile that conforms to the need of the present generation while being considerate of the requirements of the future, a perfect definition of sustainable growth. Though the price of approximately 5,990 Euros leaves a lot to be desired, it will still be considered a big step in the direction of nature-friendly vehicles.
