I laughed aloud when I saw the video. Not because it was really funny, but for sheer joy in design. This series of photographs is part of an ad campaign for the Harbour City Chocolate Trail, a charity project for the Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation. Created by the art/design collective NAM, all objects and some of the people are suspended by wires or cables to create weightlessness and catch moments that appear as if mid-explosion.
Something that is really noteworthy of this series is its analogue nature and execution. With digital photography and editing, anything is possible and we don’t believe in accordance. But in these photos, the strings are clearly visible, they are intentionally left in, to give insight into what is actually going on.
