‘Hop over the Ring’ is strengthened by studioninedots
Studioninedots in collaboration with Lingotto has won the competition for creating an iconic new building in Amsterdam.
The introduced West Beat has a glass ground floor with structural elegant arches .It is a transparent open space showing the elegance of the building’s ground floor and introduces a quality public space.
A sound proof courtyard was one of the basic goals so that the building’s height was determined according to sound measurements. All the shared and public spaces are located on the sunny side of the building. The residents would have three different quality outdoor spaces: “the Podium courtyard”, “the elevated garden”, and “the living gallery”.
Some of the most remarkable qualities of West Beat is that it provides green niches on the north façade and this also acts as a buffer zone.
“Here Studioninedots has designed a building that fronts all sides, with apartments centered around a shared elevated courtyard. At a height of 45 meters, the north side of the complex sets the tone for the new profile of Lelylaan Avenue.” Studioninedots stated.
