Ron Mueck began his sculpting career in entertainment, creating models and puppets for children’s movies and TV shows. Upon transitioning to the fine arts scene in 1996, Mueck quickly rose to prominence.
He spends hundreds of hours sculpting incredibly lifelike human forms. The work may be ultra-real, but the scale rarely is, ranging from gigantic to miniaturized. Each human figure portrays intimacy and captures a moment in time.
