“You Are Here” Map Jewelry
“You are Here” Map Jewelry is a line created by Tel Aviv based designer Talia Aviv Wiener, lets you shout your love for your favorite city, with an enchanting opportunity to wear your identity with subtlety and sophistication. As storytellers and as listeners, we intuitively demand to gravitate – to be transported instantly. Effective storytelling nurtures an aperture for the listeners to find recognition/identification with the different facets that the story offers. Perhaps it isn’t impossible to find one’s identity, after all, we belong to the people we love, and they belong to us – they, and the love and loyalty we give them, form our identity far more than any word or group ever could. While completing her BA in industrial design, she began working with a local goldsmith and fell in love with the materials, the proportions, and the craft. Using advanced technology and handcraft to create minimalist pieces of jewelry with a story behind every design, Talia founded the studio in 2011. The “You are Here” Map Jewelry designs were displayed in the Israeli Jewelry Biennial, during Jerusalem Design week.
