New York City Ballet Art Series by JR
French Artist, JR created a large-scale photography piece for the New York Ballet art series. For the piece, he collaborated with both dancers and performers. Adding to the dynamic and complexity of the composition, he also wrapped some in crumpled paper.
Displayed at the extravagant Manhattan theatre space, the life likeness of the proposed piece is visible in its entirety. The positioning of some of the dancers seemed unnatural, but this added to the effect of emphasizing the image of the eye. Each of the major anatomical areas of the eye is comprised of a dancer or performer, adding to the image visibility.
