This reinvention of the lightbulb probably didn’t take as many attempts as the original took Edison, nor as much intellectual theft. Sergio Silva’s Oyule Lamps flip the idea of a lightbulb literally upside down. The bulbs sit atop an acrylic base, leaving the clean crisp lines of the bulbs- which are actually accentuated by being filled with liquid and not light- to be seen clearly and unobstructed.
