Perth Stadium
The multi-purpose 60,000 seat Perth Stadium on the west coast of Australia will be a world-class venue. The commitment to a ‘fans first’ stadium has resulted in an innovative design ensuring an exceptional event atmosphere and home ground advantage that delivers an unsurpassed visitor experience.
The multi-purpose stadium accommodates Australian rules football, cricket, rugby union and league, football (soccer) and entertainment events. The ‘bowl’ seating configuration maximizes the atmosphere and gives fans exceptional views from anywhere in the stadium. A lightweight fabric roof covers 85% of seats and it also houses world-class team facilities.
The Sports Precinct, open year round to the public, will incorporate a covered community arbor linking the new Stadium Station to the Swan River, an amphitheater, children’s playgrounds, picnic areas and a boardwalk. A community sports oval is available for public use on non-game days and a network of walking and cycle tracks weaves throughout.
Landscape design around the precinct is inspired by the six seasons of the local Indigenous people and integrated artwork recognizes the ancestral homes of the 152 different language communities in Western Australia.
