Ruben P. Bescoshas Captures the Spirit of Madrid s BBVA Headquarters by Herzog de Meuron

The iconic BBVA Headquarters building in Madrid opened in 2015. It was designed by Swiss architecture practice Herzog & de Meuron, on the borders of the city, to be home for the Spanish banking corporate. The building is identifiable by its unique almost egg-shaped tower which seems to be cut out from the spreading 3-storey structure that surrounds it. It also features a series of linear courtyards, in addition to the round-shaped plaza by the central tower.

Photographer Rubén P. Bescóshas took his camera to the site of the extraordinary building and captured its complicated intersecting circulation paths, planted courtyards, distinctive sun breakers, and contemporary interiors. He, also, managed to highlight the building’s unique stance and futuristic impression within its urban context.
