Combining music with technology has always been a preference for artists to showcase their talent by completely going beyond the grasp of the viewers.
German animation studio Schnellebuntebilderhas done exactly that in the new music video Sunday for the electronic trio Sissi Rada by using the Xbox Kinect.
The video when viewed creates an atmosphere that engulfs the viewer by the help of the captivating idea of pixelating all the images and trying to convey their message.
The video starts as a journey where all the band members are shown either playing the instruments or thinking about the joys of life on Sunday and the reality of Monday which everyone hates, as well as a doughnut is shown to represent the breakfast meal for the band.
Pixels explode and merge together to form the 3D illustrations and transforming quickly into rotating objects. The glitchy effect continues into a black cat, hands shown playing table tennis and into a video game controller.
The band took 40 takes to complete the video which was later transferred to a live programming environment VVVV, and the video was edited by studio Schnellebuntebilder.
The studio was used to doing abstract clips but this time they wanted to try something new and different which would captivate the viewers and be narrative at the same time.
