This interestingly shaped and attractively executed building is the Taï Shogun Restaurant, a Japanese restaurant offering spirits, sushi and teppanyaki cooking (think chef cooking at the table on an iron flat top grill).
Located in the French town of Rennes along the river Vilaine, and designed by Barré Lambot Architectes, the scheme is composed of three levels, plus basement and attic. The architects focused on adaptation and accessibility for design drivers.
The plot is triangular and narrow- the building echos this with a panoramic elevator situated at the narrowest point, offering access to the whole building. For the very tall, there are 2.2m ceiling heights, and for those in wheelchairs, 3 of the 30 seatings are specially outfitted for their use.
