The twisted seating. An irrational street furniture designed by Zaha Hadid Architects who is known for her unique curvilinear surface design and non-orthogonal lines. The seating provides an interesting visual relation. It is seen as one piece, no difference in materials or colors or surface, just one twisted hollowed object.
There is of course creativity in shaping the form in addition to the technological challenge that is needed to model and manufacture this object. However, it is a non-ordinary seating. If I was walking and I found Wirl in front of me I would wonder whether I should get closer to sit on it or just watch this piece of art. Maybe take a photo next to it and leave. I believe that a form should express the function but here I am not sure whether the form tells that this is a public seating area or just a beautiful sculpture.
On the other hand, someone could see that this form is sort of mysterious and people should go there and try to discover through interaction with the object what it is.
In the end, it depends on you
