What is great about this project isn’t just the impressive concept or result; but also the vast interdisciplinary collaboration that went into it and the cross product inspiration it builds upon. Programmers, designers, dancers, musicians and animators all collaborated to create a device that captures a dancer or conductor’s movements in real time and translates it into music that is projected onto a giant wall. It has built heavily on the Kinect camera in the Xbox and has built on Ben Kuper’s brilliant BiKinect.
